Quick Garden Project

We have a small little garden in the backyard. Every year we've been here, we've struggled with the grass growing into the garden as the wood edging was decaying. We did a quick little weekend project a few weeks back and it turned out pretty good!

Aquarium at the Mall of America

We had a mini-vacation back to Minnesota for the Memorial Day holiday. We were able to see both sides of the family and spent a night up in the Twin Cities as well. We took Westin to the aquarium at the Mall of America to see the fish. He loved the tropical fish but unfortunately, there really weren't many of those :( The aquarium {in our minds} wasn't worth what we paid for admission but I imagine it's not cheap to keep a big aquarium like that up and running.

Life became a little too busy when Westin was turning four months and therefore I don't have anymore side by side outfit comparisons :( I do however continue to take his monthly picture with the elephant. Here are his 5 and 6 month photos.

He's growing up so fast. His smile melts my heart on a daily basis. He has the most gentle personality - he's just so sweet!

Summer Time... Swing Time....

At the beginning of May, we put a swing for Westin on the swing set in the back yard. I think he'll have to grow into swinging outside as he wasn't quite sure what was going on.

Westin's Great Grandparents

I feel so blessed to have some of the best grandparents around! When we were back in Minnesota this past month, we were able to make a quick stop by the nursing home for them to see Westin. These pictures are priceless to me :)

He's Rolling

Westin started rolling over just prior to turning 3 months old. It's not his favorite thing to do but he's getting better at it. Look out world, this little one is starting to move!

He's a growing boy!

I can't believe our little kiddo is 4 months old already! He is growing so fast. Take a look at how he has changed. On a side note, Westin is NOT the biggest fan of getting his picture taken with his big elephant!

So Many Laughs!

He loves his sunglasses!

This past weekend was absolutely gorgeous outside. Perfect weather to pack up the stroller and the kiddo and get outside for some fresh air. I loaded Westin up in the stroller and then I ran upstairs quick to grab my sunglasses. As I grabbed my sunglasses I saw the little pair of sunglasses that I bought for Westin a week or so ago. I look the tags off and figured there'd be no better time than right now to try them out. When I first put them on, he wasn't entirely too sure what to think....

But within 30 seconds, he was all smiles and seemed to love them :)

He melts my heart!

We walked a mile and he left them on the entire time. He didn't even attempt to touch them until we were walking into the driveway. These sunglasses make me laugh since they are huge on his little face but they are the smallest sunglasses that I could find. He'll grow into them :) The walk and all the fresh air wore Westin out. He crashed as soon as I set him down.

It was so nice to have such beautiful weather. We opened all the windows and the sliding door and welcomed all the fresh air. Even Zoey appeared to be in heaven...

Later that night when I was up, I had to sneak a peak at Westin sleeping and this is what I saw on the video monitor...

If this doesn't look like one worn out little kiddo, I'm not sure what does! :)

The Difference of 100 days...

I put this together a while ago, but every time I look at this, it amazes me just how fast little kids grow.

Hello.

The common theme over the past year is "where has the time gone?!?" So instead of trying to play catch up all the time, I'm going to just try to stay on top of things. I'm out of work sick today {ugh, being sick is awful!} so I figure there's no better time to start back on the swing out things than now. Stay posted for most posts to come.
