Yesterday was a fantastic day. Seriously, it is going to be hard to top it. The morning started off with Deborah Koehn this amazing yoga instructor. I have never done yoga before so I was a little nervous/intimidated that this world famous yoga instructor who teaches instructors in India, Bali, Peru and all around the US (including Julia Roberts in India for the movie Eat, Love, Pray). Deborah was incredible and the yoga was awesome. I felt so good after just a few stretches. I'll let the pictures speak for themselves.

Sorry but I couldn't get this pic to rotation correctly |

It is easy until you move your hands to the center and your legs to the outside and add in lotion-y hands that slip apart. |
|
See, it's easy. Even the guys can do it. |

Sorry, you'll have to tilt your head to the side to appreciate this picture. |
Ok so that concludes the yoga pictures. I woke up this morning and I could feel that I worked out my intercostal muscles...never felt that before.
As soon as we finished up yoga, we all quick grabbed our swim suits and towel and we were off to Kona to go on the night time manta ray swim. I was a little bummed that it kind of cut into our time with yoga, but 7 hours of yoga was good. Once we all got on the boat, we were heading the the manta swim sight, then all of a sudden there were spinner dolphins everywhere! The boat crew estimated that there were around 300 dolphins. It was so much fun. There were dolphins swimming right along side of the boat and then right in front. They were so close to us and sooo much fun to watch. In the waves behind the boat, the dolphins were seriously everywhere - they were jumping through the waves 2-4 dolphins at a time, one right after the other. It was awesome! I didn't have my camera but Kelsey had her camera and even took video of all of this.

Heading out to the Manta - Sean, me, Kelsey, Kathleen & Wade |
Another awesome thing that happened was a huge humpback whale got super close to us and Kelsey go it on video too. It surfaced twice by us hopefully we can see it in the video. Seriously, an amazing experience.
{i can't get the video to work tonight, i'll try again tomorrow}
Once we got to the manta swim site, we all got our snorkels and wet suits on when it was dark and jumped in the ocean. Since this is a night swim, they use these big spotlights to attract plankton (which is what the manta's eat as they have no teeth or stingers) then the manta will come and feed. Sometimes you get mantas and other times they are no-shows. After sitting in the water for around a 30 minute and seeing nothing, I was worried they were going to be a no show (the swim is only 45 minutes). Poor Kathleen was so motion sick on the boat but we thought she would be better once we got in the water - wrong. So anyways, 30 minutes pass and I hear Kathleen coughing next to me and then seconds later these big hunks of vomit go floating around and over me. Poor Kathleen :( Wade was on the other side of me and hadn't a clue what the big chunks in the water were (LOL - sucker!!) Anyways, after the vomit episode, one of the mantas came over to us to feed and spent almost the whole entire time right underneath Kathleen, Wade and me. It was incredible. They were filming the encounter and was I get the video I will upload it here for you all to watch. Seriously incredible. The manta was 8-9 feet across and she came within inches of us - SO COOL! I can't wait to post the video.
So that finishes the day for us yesterday. Today I had the day off but spent my time at a gorgeous-gorgeous-gorgeous beach. I'll post about that tomorrow. One of these days I'll catch up and post about the actual day instead of what I did the day before. I can't wait to post about the beach and show you pictures! Miss you all back in MN.
